Characteristics of the electronic invoice in Singapore
In January 2019 IMDA, as the Peppol authority in Singapore launched its new national e-Invoicing network known as InvoiceNow to digitize the economy and leverage the benefits of e-Invoicing. This in turn helps businesses to improve efficiency, reduce costs and become more sustainable. IMDA strongly promotes the use of e-Invoicing based on Peppol standards.
Obligation
No obligation by law. IMDA strongly promotes the use of Peppol e-Invoicing in B2B and B2G environments (B2G only at the government level at the moment).

SG Peppol BIS Billing 3.0.
Digital Signature
Not mandatory.
Archiving
5 years.
Required Administrative Transactions
To have an IMDA-registered Access Point with access to the national IMDA SMP, capable of converting messages according to the national specifications of the Peppol standard. EDICOM is an IMDA Authorized Access Point.
