Integrated and Centralized Solutions for Manufacturers and Suppliers
A single platform that sends and receives the kinds of messages exchanged in the automotive supply chain using OFTP2, AS2 and other protocols.
EDICOM's Automotive Solution Guarantees Connectivity and Simplifies Supply Chain Processes
The automotive sector operates under strict protocols that define the production chain of a vehicle from start to finish. The implementation of work systems such as Just In Time requires systems that allow for the rapid integration of all companies on the supply chain with widely disparate technological capabilities.
Auto manufacturers need suppliers who can meet the demanding requirements imposed by Just in Time and guarantee the arrival of components, while TIER 1 suppliers that deliver critical components to OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) must meet the high standards demanded from manufacturers.
Automate and Standardize the Entire Automotive Supply Chain Process
The Specific Needs of the Automotive Sector:

Integrated Technological Solutions for OEM and TIER I
OFTP2 Connections through EDICOM's OFTP Server
OFTP was created by Odette, the European standardization organization for the automotive industry. It is one of the most widely used protocols by companies in the automotive sector.
The OFTP2 protocol is an evolution of OFTP1. The second version was designed primarily to guarantee secure data exchanges over the public Internet, where security is achieved through the use of security certificates. The OFTP2 protocol offers a series of benefits to companies that exchange confidential commercial information and large files, such as CAD files in the automotive industry.
With EDICOM's EOS service you can send and receive messages using versions 1 and 2 of the OFTP protocol. The EOS service can be accessed in SaaS mode through the EDICOMnet VAN interconnection service.
