SaaS – Software as a Service

The EDICOM platform is a Software as a Service (SaaS) solution. It allows users to access a range of specific tools hosted in our data centers for managing their communication projects.

Our SaaS platform seamlessly integrates with any ERP system, including SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, and Oracle, to extract the necessary data to create the message.

i2All – integration to All

The EDICOM Platform allows for the integration of your entire application ecosystem using "canonical" interfaces. These are global data structures that consolidate all the information our platform can process.

Once received by the EDICOM Platform, these structures are handled by our data transformation and validation services. This process ensures that the necessary data is selected for executing all your electronic data interchange (EDI) projects, integrating electronic invoicing applications across one or multiple countries, or managing tax reporting in accordance with the regulations in all the countries where you operate.

EDICOMPlatform's integration services are central to our role as a technology service provider.

These services offer a range of tools and utilities for integrating any data source with EDICOM, whether it’s proprietary in-house solutions or cloud-based services.

From ERPs and document management systems to accounting solutions, invoicing, and warehouse management services, we continually evolve our platform to enable seamless integration with all types of information systems.

If the system to be integrated doesn’t support seamless integration, our team of consultants and developers will create a customized model tailored to your needs, ensuring that any solution requiring integration can work with EDICOMPlatform.

At EDICOM, we specialize in providing solutions for global companies.

Our focus is primarily on international businesses that operate in multiple countries and need to adapt their processes to varying regulations and commercial specifics depending on their interactions in each region.

EDICOM will set up as many environments on our platform as necessary to match the user company's organizational structure, whether by departments, subsidiaries, countries, or other criteria.

These environments will consolidate data transformation projects from one or more information systems.

This means that corporate or IT managers don't need to manage each environment separately.

For these roles, EDICOMPlatform offers specific tools that allow for real-time monitoring of transaction exchanges on a consolidated basis.

Managed Services

With EDICOM, you can delegate the complete management of your project and communication platform to our team of dedicated specialists.

Outsourcing your technological resources, management procedures, and activities related to your project to EDICOM will allow you to make the most of your platform, efficiently onboard your business partners, and maintain and adapt your integration workflows while you focus on what truly matters: your business.

EDICOMCompliance

The EDICOM solutions available on our platform are designed to comply with tax regulations and support B2B and B2G e-invoicing projects in any country worldwide.

EDICOM will facilitate communication with each country’s tax authorities to ensure integration according to the specific e-invoicing model required.

In countries with a Continuous Transaction Controls (CTC) system, we will implement the processes mandated by local authorities for real-time online declaration of invoices or other tax information. Where invoices must adhere to a Post Audit system, EDICOM will also aggregate tax data in the required formats and ensure timely and accurate reporting to the relevant tax administration.

EDICOMCompliance offers a centralized view for monitoring the status of all your electronic invoicing and tax reporting projects from a single environment.

This tool, integrated into our platform, also allows for manual management of records and invoices when intervention is needed.

Companies face numerous challenges, including the need to continuously adapt to the tax requirements of the countries where they operate.

One such challenge is the variability in electronic invoicing regulations, which differ from country to country.

This variability can include whether electronic invoicing is mandatory, as well as the specific systems, technical requirements, communication protocols, and signature methods involved.

International companies with subsidiaries in various countries must adjust their systems and processes to meet the unique requirements set by each tax authority for electronic invoicing.

To address this, EDICOMPlatform offers ongoing monitoring systems and critical flow maintenance services to ensure our electronic invoicing solutions are always up to date.

Our multi-format data integration services allow you to issue various electronic invoice formats, even if the source records come from a single information system used by different locations within your organization.

There are various compliance processes that require reporting information electronically.

In some countries, beyond the obligation to use electronic invoicing, businesses must also provide tax information from their invoicing and accounting records.

These records usually pertain to taxes such as VAT or special taxes on items like alcohol, tobacco, or hydrocarbons.

Sometimes, reporting requirements may also include invoicing records related to B2C transactions or interactions with foreign companies, which might not be covered by local electronic invoicing regulations.

Global companies operating internationally must adapt their processes to meet these reporting requirements wherever they apply.

To facilitate this, they can integrate their accounting and invoicing systems with EDICOMPlatform.

We handle the extraction of the necessary information for these reports and ensure they are communicated to the relevant tax authorities with the required frequency.

In some countries, such as Mexico, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Turkey, Vietnam, India, and China, issuing an electronic invoice requires the involvement of an entity accredited by the local tax authority.

In these countries, the legal validity of the invoice is only established when it includes a series of stamps and validations from an authorized company or organization.

In such cases, EDICOM serves as the accredited authority*, providing a transparent platform that allows our users to delegate all the formalities related to issuing electronic invoices in the countries where they operate.

*Where, for tax reasons, EDICOM cannot be accredited as a compliance authority in a specific country, the invoice validation process is managed through EDICOM's network of partners and collaborators worldwide.

Trust Services Provider

EDICOM is a Trusted Service Provider certified under the European eIDAS regulation and is also an accredited Certification Service Provider by the Mexican Ministry of Economy.

We use specialized tools to manage the flow of invoices according to the statuses defined in each compliance project. This includes applying the necessary technical validations to the exchanged documents and processing communications about the different statuses of these documents throughout their lifecycle in each country (such as acceptance, rejection, payment, collection, etc.).

Signature Services

EDICOMPlatform provides all the necessary services for electronic signatures in accordance with the regulations of the countries where our clients operate.

We also validate the signatures of received messages by applying the controls set by tax authorities. This includes verifying the presence of required electronic registration codes and the validity of electronic certificates used to sign invoices.

Our services include:

  • Remote signature service

  • Delegated signature service

  • Personalized signature with certificate issuance service

  • Workflow for document approval with electronic signature

Long Term Archiving

The EDICOM Global Platform includes trusted services such as long-term archiving through the EDICOMLta service (EDICOM Long Term Archiving).

This service provides a secure environment for storing all invoices in compliance with the requirements of each country.

It also includes control systems managed by EDICOM, a trusted third party, to ensure the integrity and authenticity of the preserved documents over time.

As a result, any document stored in this service offers added protection in case of disputes, thanks to the evidence provided by EDICOM as a Trusted Service Provider. This evidence can shift the burden of proof in the event of disputes with customers or suppliers or at the request of tax or judicial authorities.

Tier II Data Center

Our Data Processing Center provides a high availability model through complete redundancy of every component and service. In practice, this means multiple fully equipped Data Processing Centers (DPCs) at different locations operate synchronously, with resources and logs continuously mirrored in real time.

The dimensioning of each server or communication equipment is done through an active-active configuration, which means an immediate backup of any component is available in case of failure. This reduces recovery times in the event of any type of incident, from the failure of one server to the failure of an entire data center.
