Electronic Invoicing

EDIHOSP Project Has Concluded

e-invoicing hospitals

The EDIHOSP project coordinated by EDICOM has come to an end. EDICOM has implemented electronic invoicing in 16 hospitals in Portugal and Hungary.

The European project began in May 2019 and concluded on January 31st.

Thanks to the EDICOM B2B2G Cloud Platform, the healthcare entities that make up the EDIHOSP consortium can now receive and process electronic invoices according to the 2014/55/EU eInvoicing Directive.

EDICOM has supported participants to align their processes with the eInvoicing Directive, following the European Standard (OASIS UBL 2.1 and UN/CEFACT CII syntaxes).

EDIHOSP is one of the many pilot projects that EDICOM has promoted around Europe, supporting hospitals, laboratories, and other healthcare providers to comply with the European eInvoicing Directive.

Timeline of projects coordinated by EDICOM:

  • EDIHOSP (2017-EU-IA-0146) is co-funded by the INEA Agency of the European Commission through the Connecting Europe Facility Programme in Telecom (CEF Telecom), an instrument designed to facilitate cross-border interaction between public bodies, businesses, and citizens.
  • HOSP&INVOICE: Public Hospitals from Belgium, Poland, Austria, Hungary, and Italy prepared to comply with the eInvoicing European Norm (2017-EU-IA-0146).
  • GOV2EU: Supporting public entities to adopt EU Standards on electronic invoice for cross-border transactions (2016-EU-IA-0096).
  • GOVEIN: European eInvoicing Project: implementation of the European electronic invoice in the Public Health sector (2015-EU-IA-0058).
