Electronic Invoicing in Ecuador – System features
The SRI (Ecuador’s Internal Revenue Service) issued a statement in 2009 regarding the issuance of electronic documents. In 2014, Ecuador’s Internal Revenue Service (SRI) launched a progressive timeline for the adoption of electronic invoicing in Ecuador, requiring certain companies and public entities to join this new system.
The timeline for integrating new taxpayers is now in its final stages, which will be completed in 2024 with the mandatory inclusion of small and micro-enterprises in the country.
