The Bookkeeping Act in Denmark: Digital Accounting and e-Invoicing

Compliance is no longer optional under the new Bookkeeping Act. All companies, including foreign branches, must now digitally manage and archive their financial records using approved systems. 

The Danish Bookkeeping Act requires all bookkeeping systems to support structured electronic invoicing. Businesses must be capable to issue and receive electronic invoices in formats like Peppol BIS 3.0 or OIOUBL.
